The FAWU is an annual course, the Heath and Safety Executive (HSE) highly recommend that all first aiders attend this course. This will avoid a falsely optimistic view of the first aid team in the workplace. The concern is skill fade and the confidence and ability of the first aid team in an emergency. This is also a good opportunity to complete the AED course and keep the team updated with any changes.
