SUMMARY:First Aid At Work Refresher Course (FAWR)
DESCRIPTION:This course can only be offered to candidates who hold a valid First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate. This training can start up to three months before the expiry date of their certificate or a maximum of 28 days beyond the expiry date (updated May 2006). If the certificate expires\, the individual will have to undertake a full course of training to be re-established as a first aider. \nThis course is normally delivered over 2 consecutive days. We do offer the course to be delivered over longer periods of time such as 1 day a week for 2 weeks or to be delivered as evening sessions over 4 weeks. The course can be delivered in such a way to suit your individual requirements by negotiation. \nThere are 2 written assessments\, followed by the final practical assessment by 2 independent assessors. \nSuccessful candidates can continue to be employed to be a first aider in the workplace. To be eligible the delegate must hold an in-date FAW certificate. This course is normally delivered over 2 consecutive days. \nThere are 2 written assessments that must be completed before the start of the course (delegate training pack will be issued to each delegate in advance). At the end of the course the practical assessments are the same as the FAW course. Successful candidates are issued with a First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate at the end of the assessment process. The certificates are valid for 3 years (at this time). \nThe fee for this FAWR course is £220.00 per delegate. For groups bookings delivered onsite we can offer a fee reduction. Fees are inclusive of all course materials and assessments\, tea and coffee. \nTo book an individual or a group of employees onto a course or to discuss dates and venues please contact our Principal Trainer
