SUMMARY:First Aid At Work Course (FAW)
DESCRIPTION:Successful candidates can then be employed to become the first aider in the work place. \nThis course is normally delivered over 3 days. We do offer the course to be delivered over longer periods of time such as 1 day a week for 3 weeks or to be delivered as evening sessions over 6 weeks. The course can be delivered in such a way to suit individual requirements by negotiation. \n\nThere are 2 written assessments\, followed by the final practical assessment by 2 independent assessors.\nSuccessful candidates are issued with a First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate at the end of the assessment process. The certificates are valid for 3 years (at this time). \n  \nCourse Syllabus: \n\nIntroduction to First Aid\nUnconsciousness\nResuscitation\nObstructed Airways\nShock\nFirst Aid Boxes and HSE\nBleeding\nFractures and soft tissue injuries\nBurns\nEye Injuries\nMinor Injuries\nMedical Conditions\nAutomated External Defibrillation (AED) Click here for details\n\nThe fee for this First Aid at Work (FAW) course is £330.00 per candidate. For group bookings delivered onsite we can offer a fee reduction. \nFees are inclusive of instruction and all course materials including a course handbook consisting of 160 pages\, assessments and certificates to successful candidates.
